  • We recently had the privilege of completing two meaningful murals at Ruby Duncan Elementary School in North Las Vegas—each created to honor the life and impact of civil rights leader Ruby Duncan.

The first mural, located at the front of the school, features a striking black-and-white portrait of Ruby Duncan painted directly onto the brick façade. Soft cherry blossoms fill the background, creating a powerful contrast that blends strength with elegance. This piece welcomes students, staff, and visitors with a reminder of the resilience and beauty found in Duncan’s story.

The second mural, also painted on brick, captures Ruby Duncan in motion—leading a march with confidence and purpose. This artwork serves as a daily inspiration for students, symbolizing leadership, courage, and the power of standing up for what’s right.

Together, these murals not only enhance the campus visually but also celebrate a remarkable woman whose legacy continues to uplift the North Las Vegas community.
