  • Recently, Gilbert Academy Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada was the site of an exciting indoor and outdoor mural project. Commissioned by Graffiti Park Las Vegas, the project brought together three talented artists to transform 2500 square feet of space with 4 curated murals over the course of three days.

    Gilbert Academy is a magnet school for Communications and Creative Arts. They needed something that was going to be an absolute jaw-dropper! There were a few challenges in this project, including a 25 foot tall indoor canvas as well as a heavily textured outdoor canvas.

    The theme of the project was met with a stunning nature scene depicting a peacock and a coyote inside the school, and the outside of the school featured namesakes and giraffes to represent the mascot of the school. The use of bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes created a visually striking display that was sure to delight students and visitors alike. The artists used their own creative style and imagination to bring the murals to life with a one of a kind mural that is sure to impress and inspire.

    One of the unique aspects of this project was the collaboration between the three artists. Each artist brought their own style and perspective to the mural, resulting in a diverse and dynamic final product. The project was a true celebration of the power of artistic collaboration and community.

    The completion of the mural project at Gilbert Academy Elementary School is a testament to the positive impact that public art can have on a community.
