  • Las Vegas, Nevada

  • Recently, Robert O Gibson Middle School in Las Vegas, Nevada was the site of an exciting indoor mural project. Commissioned by Graffiti Park Las Vegas, the project brought together five talented artists to transform 2400 square feet of space with a colorful and vibrant theme. This was our second trip to Robert O Gibson Middle School, and we are thrilled to have been welcomed back to the campus to paint. This project provided some interesting learning lessons, as the collective learned that acrylic paint does not cover oil based paint. After further experimentation, and some handwritten calligraphy, the project was completed with ease.

The mural features namesakes for the principal’s office and on the school’s lockers, adding a beautiful splash of color to the hallways. The use of bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes created a visually striking display that was sure to delight students and visitors alike. The artists used their own creative style and imagination to bring the mural to life with a one of a kind mural that is sure to impress.

One of the unique aspects of this project was the collaboration between the five artists. Each artist brought their own style and perspective to the mural, resulting in a diverse and dynamic final product. The project was a true celebration of the power of artistic collaboration and community.

The completion of the mural project at Robert O Gibson Middle School is a testament to the positive impact that public art can have on a community. Not only does it add beauty and interest to the school, but it also provides an opportunity for local artists to showcase their talents and share their vision with the public.

Overall, the commissioned mural project at Robert O Gibson Middle School was a fantastic addition to the Las Vegas community and a shining example of the power of public art. The colorful and vibrant theme of the mural has brought a unique touch to the school and it has become a conversation starter among the students. We are grateful to the school for welcoming us back and we look forward to seeing more exciting projects from Graffiti Park Las Vegas in the future.
