“Bringing Magic to the Halls of C.H. Decker Elementary: A Large Scale Mural Project Completed”
Recently, C.H. Decker Elementary School underwent a magical transformation with the completion of a large scale mural project. The project, both indoor and outdoor, covered a whopping 7,500 square feet and featured 31 different artists over the course of 3 days.
The theme of the project was none other than the beloved series of Harry Potter. With over 30 different murals included in the project, the school was transformed into a Hogwarts-like atmosphere, complete with depictions of iconic characters, scenes, and imagery from the books and films.
The project was put on by Graffiti Park Las Vegas in partnership with the Clark County School District. The collaboration between the two organizations resulted in a truly magical and impactful project for the students, staff, and community of C.H. Decker Elementary.
The murals were both volunteered and commissioned, with many of the artists being local Las Vegas talent. The project not only brought a new level of creativity and inspiration to the school, but also provided opportunities for the artists to showcase their talents and give back to their community.
The completed project has received rave reviews from all who have seen it, and the school community is thrilled with the new addition to their campus. The Harry Potter themed murals have brought a new level of excitement and enchantment to the school, and will be enjoyed by students, staff and visitors for years to come.
We at Graffiti Park Las Vegas are proud to have been a part of this project and would like to extend a big thank you to the Clark County School District for their partnership, and the 31 artists who brought their talents and imagination to the project. The completed mural project is a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for C.H. Decker Elementary and the community it serves.
